ABSTRACT
This research aimed to investigate the correlation between personality strength and methods of coping with stress, self-efficacy and life satisfaction among a sample of adolescents, as well as the differences in personality strength in the light of the gender variable (male / female) among a sample of (271) male and female students. The instruments of the research included: personality strength scale (developed by the researcher), methods of coping with psychological stress scale (developed by Carver, 1997 and translated by Al-Mansoori, 2014), general self-efficacy scale (developed by Jerusalem and Schwarzer, 1993, translated by Ibrahim, 2004), and life satisfaction scale (prepared by El Desouki, 2013). The results of the research revealed that there is a statistically positive significant correlation between personality strengths and some methods of coping with positive psychological stress. There was also a statistically positive significant correlation between personality strengths and both self-efficacy and life satisfaction. The results also showed that there were differences between males and females in the dimensions of personality strength as the differences were in favor of females in the dimension of humanity, and the differences were in favor of males in the dimension of wisdom, courage, and justice; However, there were no differences between males and females in the dimension of moderation and transcendence and the total degree of the personality strength scale.
