The Effect of Storytelling Technique on Developing Critical Thinking Skills for English Majors at Arish Faculty of Education.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of storytelling technique on developing some critical thinking skills for the students of English department at Arish faculty of education. The design of the study was a one group pre – posttest quasi experimental design. Thirty  of  second – year English university students were selected to the experimental group of the study. Tools of the study were prepared. The study sample will e consisted of one experimental group of English department, second year, second term of 2017-2018, number of (30) at Arish city. The experimental group was tested using pre – post critical thinking skills test before and after being exposed to storytelling treatment. The experiment lasted for three months during the second term of 2017-2018 academic year. T – test results revealed significant differences between the pre –test and post test of critical thinking test for the post application of the test. It was concluded that using storytelling technique to university students was effective on developing their critical thinking skills.
